A Bitcoin is a unit of a decentralized digital currency that was created in 2009. This digital currency is not backed by any “traditional” currency, and does not have to go through a third party vender. These Bitcoins are traded actively online with many currencies, the forerunner of w…n account for an illegitimate seller. However this might not be the case, but a seller would probably only have about 1 chance to sell illegitimately before being unveiled to the community at large. Thus the draw to skew the process on Silk Road is minimal, but it could still be there.

I am not a huge fan of fiat currencies. However, I do believe they can work quite well for a long period of time provided there are (1) no life altering apocalyptic events where physical goods will be king and (2) you can avoid the moral hazard of someone arbitrarily creating money out…d by the person with that secret identity. There is no reason to ever know who the “real” person is because a digital signature secures one from fraud. One does not need a name, face, or fingerprint to verify the person is who they say they are; the digital signature accomplishes that.
